This is absolutely true especially as regards the DEVIL and the Secret Societies he spawns; like the Freemasons, Illuminati and a multitude of others. The Illuminati have existed in the past and many believe still exist in the present. They took their name from Lucifer, the false angel of “light”, the “Illuminator”. Many Freemasons have invented a virtual mythology around their origins. The more educated, and higher ranking Freemasons, know and have written about their True History. The goal of Freemasonry has always been ANTI-Christian; more specifically Anti-Catholic. They have striven to overturn the Christian Social Order that has existed in Europe ; and they have to a large extent succeeded. There have indeed been Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the religions and governments of Europe carried on by the Freemasons, Illuminati and Reading Societies. We cannot forget the Freemasons' Great Dream of a New World Order so widely and publicly proclaimed on the U.S. One-Dollar Bill.   The enemies of Christ and His Church are legion. Pope Leo XIII was only one of several Popes who wrote against Freemasonry in his great Encyclical Humanum Genus.  What are we to do? First we must know and embrace TRUTH. Then, let us remember that great saying: “Know Thy ENEMY”! “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” (Ephesians 6, 12)

This is absolutely FALSE! The truth of the matter is that the Church has fostered Science and guided it in the right direction. Indeed, Copernicus was not only a Catholic Priest but also a physician, scientist and astronomer. He was NOT an “outspoken” atheistic anti-Christian who believed in Materialist Athiestic Absurdity. On the contrary, he was a man of faith. And he most certainly was NOT murdered by the Church; neither was Galileo for that matter. The Church has honored Nicolaus Copernicus by allowing him to be buried in Frombork Cathedral in Poland.

Black magic and sorcery are not inventions of the Church but are practices which have existed, and still do exist, all over the world and in every society. Indeed, witches and witchcraft were punished in much of the world; even in pre-Christian times. The Pentagram has long been associated with the planet Venus, The Morning [Day] Star. Even though this symbol had pre-Christian origins and uses yet it was used by many early Christians as a symbol for Christ who is sometimes refered to in Sacred Scripture as the Morning Star: "I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star." (Apoc. 22,16). The Pentagram also symbolized the FIVE wound of Christ. Satanists and Medieval witches and sorcerers INVERTED the Pentegram (as they have inverted the Cross - not knowing that this is the Cross on which St. Peter was crucified) in their rituals. Fr. Montague Summers wrote many books on Witchcraft, Demonolgy, Black Magic, and the Occult. Professor Jeffrey Burton Russell described Fr. Summers as “by far the most determined and informed modern defender of orthodoxy against the skeptics… Summers was well steeped in the sources, and his insight that European witchcraft was basically a perversion of Christianity and related to heresy, rather than the survival of a pagan religion, as the Murrayites [followers of Margaret Murray] claimed, was correct.” (P.29 Witchcraft in the Middle Ages) We also highly recommend the works of Fr. Gariele Amorth, Rome's Chief Exorcist, on Possession and Exorcism; who knows the Devil and his demons more than one who has dealt with them much of his life?!

It is true that these days there is a “Holy War” - Jihad – waged by Islam against Christians and the West. But there is no comparison between The Islamic Jihad and the Christian Crusades. The Crusades were waged as a DEFENCE against the Invading Islamic Hordes who, by that time, had taken over all of North Africa, much of Asia Minor and were heading into the very heart of Europe; ALL formerly Christian Lands taken over by that "religion of peace" and her "peace loving prophet". The Persecution of Christians in "tolerant" Islamic lands has not stopped to this very day! The Popes and Crusaders knew what ISLAM really taught and they defended themselves and Europe against it. Today’s "tolerant" European and North American leaders BLIND themselves to the fact that there is no such thing as Islamic Tolerance and continue to delude themselves, and whoever will listen to them, that Islam is a "religion of peace" and what they see around them is a "perversion" of Islam. The fact is that what people are seeing on television is the True Islam, The Religion of the Sword. The perversion and outright lie is to claim that Islam is a religion of "peace". The Popes of the past were not blind to this truth. It was this defence of what was left of Christendom that Blessed Pope Urban II called the First Crusade. The Catholic Church saved Europe!

The facts are that all the people killed in all the “Holy Wars” COMBINED throughout history are as NOTHING compared to the SLAUGHTER unleashed by the ATHIESTIC, Scientific, Modern Killers – Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, … On top of that, our “scientific”, "enlightened", and "tolerant" society, that has overturned Aristotle’s belief that human life [human soul] begins 40 days after conception and showed that at the very moment of conception a UNIQUE individual, who is ALIVE, is created, condones and defends the SLAUGHTER of the unborn. What diabolic hypocrisy!

“Thy pride is brought down to hell, thy carcass is fallen down: under thee shall the moth be strewed, and worms shall be thy covering. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, who didst rise in the morning? How art thou fallen to the earth, that didst wound the nations? And thou saidst in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the height of the clouds, I will be like the most High. But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit.” (Isaias 14, 11-15) The name Lucifer originally denoted the planet Venus, emphasizing its brilliance. The Vulgate of St Jerome employs the word also for "the light of the morning" (Job 11:17), "the signs of the zodiac" (Job 38:32), and "the aurora" (Psalm 109:3). St. Jerome makes Lucifer the name of the principal fallen angel who must lament the loss of his original glory bright as the morning star. In Christian tradition this meaning of Lucifer has prevailed; the Fathers maintain that Lucifer is not the proper name of the Devil, but denotes only the state from which he has fallen (Petavius, De Angelis, III, iii, 4). Christ is the TRUE LIGHT; “Again therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, walketh not in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8, 12) We are called to be “Children of Light”, children of the True Lucifer [the TRUE bringer of Light] and to become the “light of the world”.

The Devil, who is an imitator and a liar, pretends to “bring light”, “knowledge”, and hidden “wisdom” to those who reject the True God. We are told that “Satan himself transformeth himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians. 11, 14) when in fact, he is an Angel of Darkness. That is why we are called to “be converted from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God” (Acts 26, 18)

The names of some demons believed by the Jews were: Asmodeus, Lilith, Belial, Beelzabub, and many others. Modern “Jews”, “that say they are Jews and are not” (Apoc. 2,9), claim not to believe in demons and that Judaism does not believe in the “devil” or “demons”. They also make it understood that this is a Christian invention. This only show how far these “Jews” have departed from the Ancient Jews, the Hebrews, who did believe in demons as can be seen in The Qumran texts, the Old and New Testaments, Josephus and many other ancient writings even the Talmud and Cabala.

After the destruction of the Second Temple , the Pharisaic sect, whom Christ called a "brood of vipers" (Matthew 3,7)  was re-established as Rabbinic Judaism — which ultimately produced normative, traditional Judaism, the basis for all contemporary forms of Judaism.

The Jewish Encyclopedia has many good articles on the Lucifer, Satan, and Demonology.  The Jews even engaged in exorcism.
